The Internet Specialist degree and certificate programs are current divided in to two options.

Internet Programming Concentration

This program provides students with skills necessary to establish and maintain an effective Web presence. Students will design and create the interface between data storage and the user, create dynamic web pages, and add interactivity to their sites with an emphasis on Internet programming languages and techniques. This option is designed to prepare graduates for employment with organizations that use computers to distribute information via the Internet internally, externally, and/or globally.

Web Content Concentration

This program provides students with skills necessary to understand and use Internet services and resources. Students will design and create content-rich sites that use photo-realistic and computer-generated graphics photo-realistic and computer-generated graphics as well as basic interactive programming techniques. Design projects will emphasize small-business, home-office, and personal applications.

What do I have to do to be admitted to Lakeland?

How long will this take?
The degree programs are designed for two years of full time study. How long you will take depends on how many hours you can safely dedicate to study
What is the difference between a certificate and certification?
The certificate is an academic training program designed to prepare you in one specific skill set. The certification is a vendor-specific or vendor-neutral set of exams that show some degree of proficiency in a specific skill. The certification exams are not given by Lakeland faculty.

Where can I take the tests?
