| The Lakeland
Civic Chorus is sponsored by Lakeland Community
College's Arts & Humanities Division. Eighty
voices strong, the Chorus is composed of
singers from all over the Greater Cleveland
area who volunteer their time for the joy
of making music together.
Most Civic Chorus concerts
are in the Performing Arts Center of Lakeland
Community College, but the Chorus does occasionally "take
the show on the road". Twice the Chorus has
performed with the Lakeland Civic Band in
Chautauqua, NY, receiving standing ovations.
The average concert season
runs from the last week in August through
Memorial Day weekend with a break after the
Christmas Concert. Rehearsals are every Tuesday
evening from 7:30-10:00 p.m. in the Lakeland
Community College Music Room.
