The Arts and Humanities Division supports Lakeland's

fine arts, humanities, modern languages, music, philosophy,
physical education, and speech. The Division supports
the college's technical training mission by providing quality
instruction and practice in radio and television broadcasting,
graphic design, journalism, photography, recording/engineering,

Young Artists Competition Date: Monday, November 17, 2008 Email: tmyllykoski@lakelandcc.edu Description: Auditions for the Young Artists Competition are now being accepted. Auditions will be held on Monday, November 17 from 5:00-9:30p.m. at Lakeland's Performing Arts Center.
Winners will perform with the Lakeland Civic Orchestra on Sunday, March 15, 2009 at 3:00p.m.
PLEASE NOTE: If an applicant is not able to perform with the orchestra on March 15, they will not be considered eligible for the competition.
Literature Requirement: A movement of a concerto or other material appropriate for performance with an orchestra
The auditions will be a total of 12 minutes--one minute to enter the stage, 10 minutes to perform, and one minute to exit the stage
The competition is open to two age groups: Ages 13 or younger, and 14 to 18 years
Limit two students per instructor
