Young Artists Competition
Date: Monday, November 17, 2008
Description:  Auditions for the Young Artists Competition are now being accepted. Auditions will be held on Monday, November 17 from 5:00-9:30p.m. at Lakeland's Performing Arts Center.
Winners will perform with the Lakeland Civic Orchestra on Sunday, March 15, 2009 at 3:00p.m.
PLEASE NOTE: If an applicant is not able to perform with the orchestra on March 15, they will not be considered eligible for the competition.
Literature Requirement: A movement of a concerto or other material appropriate for performance with an orchestra
The auditions will be a total of 12 minutes--one minute to enter the stage, 10 minutes to perform, and one minute to exit the stage
The competition is open to two age groups: Ages 13 or younger, and 14 to 18 years
Limit two students per instructor
