Steelworker for the Future - not your grandfather's steel industry

Attend the upcoming information session Wednesday, November 30!

Lakeland Community College has partnered with global steel giant ArcelorMittal to develop the next generation of the steel industry's workforce.

Curriculum for degree options in both electronic engineering technology and computer integrated manufacturing technology will be offered.

Training is targeted toward the high-tech, well-paying specialties of electrical or mechanical technician.

Program highlights:

  • Two and a half year cooperative work-study with a world-class corporation
  • Up to 24 weeks of on-site, paid training at ArcelorMittal
  • Eligible graduates may be hired based on operating conditions at the time of graduation
