Surgical
Technology is a growing field and in high demand. The surgical
technologist works directly with the surgeon and the registered nurse
in the operating room. The role includes scrubbing in as part of
the sterile team and establishing the sterile environment for the
entire surgical procedure. Attention to detail and knowledge
of surgical procedures and protocols are hallmarks of the surgical
technologist.
