Submit TRANSCRIPTS. (Contact the school sending transcripts for procedure.)
TRANSFER STUDENTS should request that official transcripts be sent directly to Lakeland’s Admissions Office from EACH university or college attended since high school. (Schedule a counseling appointment after you receive an acknowledgment postcard from Lakeland to determine which courses apply to your degree/certificate.)
ALL HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES must request that official transcripts and ACT/SAT scores be sent directly to Lakeland’s Admissions Office, or you must submit a copy of your GED Certificate. THIS IS MANDATORY FOR REGISTRATION.

Students who DO NOT have a high school diploma or GED Certificate are required to take and pass the ABILITY TO BENEFIT test. Available by appointment only. THIS IS MANDATORY FOR REGISTRATION.
Three parts: English, Math and Reading. Available by appointment only. (No fee charged for first Compass Test. $10 fee charged to take Compass each additional time).

Schedule a New Student Success Information Session
Beginning with Fall 2011, based on the results of
placement testing, students may be required to attend an informational session prior to registration. If a
student places into a developmental English class
(ENGL 0111, ENGL 0220, or ENGL 1111) he/she will
have a hold placed on registration until the mandatory
session is attended. Students requiring the information
session will be informed when exiting the placement
test. Register for the mandatory session online at
myLakeland.
NOTE: Student will be required to take
and successfully complete the developmental English
class during the student’s first semester.
