Several bands, choruses and musical groups hold performances year round. Tickets are available to hear Lakeland's Civic Chorus, Civic Jazz Orchestra, Civic Orchestra, Civic Band , Jazz Impact, and Jazz Festival. Audition dates and times as well as registration forms are available from the Music Department's website.

The Lakeland Civic Theatre, under the direction of Dr. Martin Friedman, stages several productions every year. Auditions are often posted on the calendar. Tickets are available through the box office.

Lakeland’s Arts and Humanities department delivers quality instruction in several disciplines of the liberal arts such as English composition, poetry and literature, fine arts (painting, drawing and sculpture), photography, and graphic design. Poetry and writing competitions are held annually and the prestigious annual Comics Symposium is held each spring.

The Center for International Education prepares our students to live and work in a global economy by providing multicultural experiences such as the International Forum Series and Film Series, the Global Fashion Show and the International Folk Festival.

Lakeland's Fine Arts Gallery is located in the Performing Arts Center. New exhibits are displayed regularly. Artists working in all forms of creative media are encouraged to submit proposals. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday 9am to 9pm and weekends from 9am to 5pm.
