Amoeba are microscopic protists that crawl along surfaces to feed on algae, bacteria, or other microscopic life forms. Five coccoid bacteria are adherent to the glass surface below the amoeba. As the amoeba crawled over these, three were plucked off as food. These are three or four sequential frame grabs as the amoeba crawled over the bacteria. I paused the first frame and drew rings around the bacteria for reference.
