Forget-me-nots are an early spring bloomer in my garden. Macro technique and flashes allowed me to get a closer view of details of these small flowers. An indicator of flash technique is the dark background. Light of flash units positioned close to subjects is much brighter than available light, including sunlight. One can use this effect to isolate subjects from busy backgrounds. Don't forget this!
