The SMART program is a support and networking program for single mothers. Participants must have demonstrated financial need, and will attend school at least half time. Program activities take place on weekday mornings.
As a group, SMART students will:
Take an English class and Skills for College Success, equaling 6 credits.
Attend training workshops and seminars on topics related to overcoming barriers which could keep you from succeeding in college.
Meet weekly for support and networking with peers.
Receive financial assistance from the Women’s Center.
Come to Lakeland and start classes with other single moms. Tackle your education together!
