What is the Hispanic Program?

The Hispanic Program was created by the Lakeland Foundation and the Student Activities Department at Lakeland Community College.  The goal of the Hispanic Leadership Program is to help all our Hispanic students achieve their academic goals at Lakeland.  Hispanic students will be able to develop leadership characteristics and these characteristics will help them to be successful in the professional environment.

This program is possible thanks to the Fenn Foundation, National City Bank, Key Bank, HOLA, and other people and businesses in our community.

What Does the Hispanic Program offer you?

Students who participate in the Hispanic Leadership Program will have the opportunity to:

• Get information about Financial Aid
• Be part of the Latin Union, a student organization at Lakeland
• Have fun and meet other Hispanic students
• Participate in meetings to discuss students’ needs and problems and find ways to resolve them
• Extend their professional development
• Find a mentor or make friends
• Get internships and valuable information about jobs
