The Lakeland Community College Student Activities Department exists to
enhance the students' life outside the classroom. Therefore, the mission
of the department is to provide co-curricular opportunities to encourage
student leadership, personal and professional growth, and the embracing
of human diversity.
The Student Activities
Department oversees Student Government, the Campus
Activities Board, more than two dozen student
organizations and programs to promote an understanding
and appreciation of diversity.
The office promotes activities
for students to increase their involvement in
campus life outside the classroom, coordinates
new student orientation, administers student
conduct, coordinates the Student Center Atrium
Art Gallery exhibit, handles posting on bulletin
boards around campus, and publishes the Campus
Connection, the Student Handbook and Calendar
and various booklets for student organization
use. It provides an opportunity to pursue an
interest or talent in an organized environment
with other students. To get involved or for more
information, stop by S-237 or call 440.525.7271.
