Bachelor's & Graduate Degrees

Lakeland's Holden University Partnership Program has transformed higher education in Lake County, giving area residents the opportunity to conveniently earn bachelor's and graduate degrees close to home.

By partnering with Ohio four-year colleges and universities, the Holden University Partnership Program has allowed hundreds of area residents to complete their bachelor's or graduate degrees right here in Lake County.

With passage of a 2010 levy, voters of Lake County put their confidence in Lakeland to fulfill the promise of creating a streamlined path to address the need for more opportunities in higher education. In less than one year, Lakeland designed and established partnership programs with leading Ohio four-year colleges and universities.

The Holden University Partnership Program is named in honor of Arlene and Arthur Holden, long-time champions of higher education and Lakeland.

Layce Artman I graduated with my associate degree from Lakeland while at the same time graduating as Valedictorian from high school. I plan to attend the Holden University Center to complete my bachelor's degree in criminal justice. Layce Artman College Credit Plus

Michelle Timms One thing I really love about Lakeland and being in the honors program is that the teachers have small classes and they are very devoted to their students. My friends at four-year institutions are taking the same intro classes that I am, but in large lecture halls with a lot more students. Michelle Timms Associate of Arts
