FINANCIAL AID

The mission of the Financial Aid Office is to remove financial barriers to higher education for students attending Lakeland Community College in an equitable way. We assist students in obtaining the optimal financing options and help to keep educational debt burdens low. The office is an advocate for students, both current and future, with any activity involved in the process of developing funding for financing education.

The Financial Aid Office has established policies that encourage completion of degree and certificate goals while taking into consideration individual and mitigating circumstances. The office also disseminates information to educate and keep students informed about any new or changing rules, procedures, or movements that will impact the pursuit of financial assistance for their educational endeavors.

Financial assistance can be used to cover college expenses such as tuition, fees, books, supplies, transportation, room and board, and school related expenses such as child care and the purchase of a computer.
