Students entering grades 10th, 11th or 12th with an unweighted, cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above will be admitted into the CCP program, and do not have to test into College-level English. They will automatically be placed into ENGL 1110. For more information, please read the Math and English Placement Summary.
To earn acceptance into the College Credit Plus program, students must achieve the following minimum scores in English & Writing:
|Accuplacer Next-Generation Writing Test||263|
|SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing*||480|
*We do not accept PSAT scores.
Once accepted, to participate in math courses through CCP, all students must have successfully completed Algebra 2 and place into college level math. Please review our CCP Math and English Placement document for more information.
If you have taken the ACT or SAT and meet the minimum scores listed above for English and/or Math, please submit your scores to Lakeland. If you have not taken the ACT or SAT or do not meet the minimum score requirements, you will be required to take the Accuplacer Test.
The Accuplacer Tests are currently offered on-campus in Lakeland's Test Center. A photo ID is REQUIRED to gain entrance to the test center. If you do not have a photo ID, please print the College Board Student ID Form and bring the completed form with you on the day of your test. Please reserve your testing time below. Please call the Lakeland's Test Center for questions.
If you haven't done so already, please visit Lakeland's placement test preparation website for study resources for the Accuplacer test.
Prospective CCP student must complete Lakeland's online application prior to taking the placement test. You will not be able to schedule a day/time to test until after your application is manually entered into the system, which usually takes 2 to 3 business days from when you submit your online application.
