Lakeland Community College has set three major milestones for the implementation of this update.

Fall 2021 – Spring 2022: To prepare for this update, virtual training sessions will be offered for faculty beginning November 2021. The new mobile-native Blackboard Base Navigation will be turned on in December for Spring 2022 courses. This easy-to use interface is similar to the Bb mobile app. It enables easy access to your current courses and collects information from all your courses in one place. The actual courses themselves will not change.
Spring – summer 2022: Early adopters will begin to migrate and convert their original courses to Ultra Course View, the second part of this update. Some spring and summer 2022 students may be enrolled in classes that use the new mobile-native Ultra Course View.
Fall 2023 – fall 2024: All faculty will begin training for migration and conversion from original courses for all classes to Blackboard Ultra Course View. Fall 2024 will carry the goal to have all courses fully updated with Blackboard Base Navigation and Ultra Course View.
- Fall 2021: Introduce faculty and students to Blackboard Base Navigation.
- December 2021: Blackboard Base Navigation will be enabled at the end of fall semester.
- Spring 2022: All courses will function using Blackboard Base Navigation for start of spring 2022 semester. Early adopter volunteers will enable Ultra Course View.
- Summer 2022: Early adopters continue switching to Ultra Course View.
- Fall 2022: Early adopters of Ultra Course View present at Lakeland's Fall Conference Week to the remainder of faculty.
- Spring 2023: Department and lead faculty convert at least one course to Ultra Course View. Training for the rest of the faculty begins.
- Fall 2023 – Spring 2024: Continue training and conversions of all Blackboard sites to Ultra Course View.
- Fall 2024: Our goal is to have all courses converted to Ultra Course View.
