The Immediate Needs Grant (myLakeland log in credentials required) may be available to students who are enrolled in an active term at Lakeland Community College who have encountered an emergency financial hardship in paying for expenses that is preventing them from completing the semester.
College Credit Plus (CCP) students, Lakeland Community College employees or their dependent(s) are not eligible for funding.
The maximum amount of assistance is subject to the funds available and the decision of the immediate needs committee. All awarded immediate needs will be counted as an additional resource when determining financial aid eligibility.
To apply, students must complete the Immediate Needs Grant Form and include documentation of the expenses for which they are requesting funding (myLakeland log in credentials required).
You will be notified via your Lakeland email once your application has been reviewed or if additional information is needed to consider your request.
The Immediate Needs Grant is made possible by the generosity of the Lakeland Foundation.

The Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) is a federally-funded program managed by the Ohio Department of Development (ODOD). It is designed to help income-eligible consumers with winter heating costs. The funding provides two distinct components: HEAP and the Winter Crisis Program (WCP), also called Emergency HEAP (E-HEAP). To qualify for either program, total household income must be at or below 175 percent of the federal income level (see chart). For more information regarding these programs and to apply, visit the Ohio Department of Development webpage.
