International student applicants seeking a Form I-20, "Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status must apply and submit the required documentation.
Documentation must be submitted by July 15 for the fall semester and November 15 for the spring semester; F-1 international students cannot be admitted for the summer term.
Once all required documents have been received and admission to the college is approved, Lakeland will issue an I-20 to the student.
Step 1: Apply for Admission
All new students need to apply online at lakelandcc.edu/apply for admission to Lakeland Community College. There is no fee to apply.
Step 2: Submit High School Transcripts
All new students are required to submit a final, official high school transcript showing graduation date, school seal and school representative signature.
Step 3: Submit Proof of English Language Proficiency (English Language Proficiency Exempt Countries)
Submit official scores dated within the past two years from test date of one of the following:

Submit proof of financial support to cover tuition and living expenses for one year in the amount of $20,500 USD (effective fall 2024; the number of your dependents will increase this amount):

All new students are required to submit an English-translated official transcript from current post-secondary institution. Lakeland's preferred independent credit evaluation organizations are World Education Services (WES) and Educational Perspectives. All costs associated with foreign transcript evaluations are the student's responsibility and arrangements for payment must be made directly with WES or Educational Perspectives.

Step 7: Request Transfer of I-20 from Current Post-Secondary Institution
Students must contact and request current post-secondary institution to transfer valid I-20 to Lakeland from Student & Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS). Lakeland's SEVIS school code is CLE214F00272000.
