  1. It is the policy of the college to provide a safe working environment for all college employees.
  2. Responsibility for Implementation
    1. The President shall have the ultimate responsibility for ensuring the safety of employees in the college.
    2. The operating responsibilities to implement and evaluate the employee safety program are to be assigned by the President.
  3. It is the responsibility of all college employees to become familiar and to comply with applicable Federal, State and college procedures on employee safety, participate in required training sessions, and to behave in such a manner that they assure their own safety as well as the safety of co-workers.
  4. Employees who fail to comply with college policy and procedures or departmentally established safe work practices will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination.
  5. Lakeland's employee safety policy shall be widely disseminated to all the employees.
